Specialty Nurse in Aesthetics, Dermatology and Laser Therapy
Nurse Louise has aspired to lead the way in aesthetic nursing since 2016, practicing advanced and accredited safe techniques and procedures. Louise currently works solely as an Aesthetic Nurse.
Louise’s career pathway took a leap when she qualified as a registered Adult Nurse in 2013 with Christ Church University, she then developed a strong interest in aesthetics and dermatology having had a visual flair and working closely with the skin and facial anatomy. She started out by graduating from London College of Fashion at University of the Arts London in 2007 in TV Catwalk & editorial Styling, working for leading companies within the cosmetic and beauty industry. She held the position of retail artist and Salon Account Manager for several Estee Lauder franchise brands such as Bobbi Brown, Aveda and Crème De Le Mer prior to nursing dating back from 2007 – 2013. At this point Louise went into nursing to better understand biology of the skin and body. This unusual journey has strengthened her clinical approach in aesthetics vastly.
She worked for East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, Kent Community Foundation trust and within Primary Care until this year. Louise has completed several post registration achievements such as a Specialist Practitioner District Nursing BSc hons degree with a V100 Supplementary Prescribing Qualification at The University of Greenwich in 2017. This year Louise is set to gain a full Independent and Supplementary Prescribing qualification with Medway School of Pharmacology.
She has many years’ experience in providing cosmetic anti- wrinkle treatments. She was first trained in the use of Botox® and Dermal Fillers with Aesthetox Training Academy – Harley Street and Birmingham in 2016, she has updated her knowledge with numerous advanced master classes such as Advanced Lip Mastery with Skin Viva Training Academy in Manchester. Louise regularly attends annual aesthetic conferences to maintain her competency base and has been offering Botox® for wrinkle relaxation and hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero etc and has treated many happy and returning clients over this time.
Nurse Louise has now ventured into offering laser treatments for skin conditions and is mentored closely by Dr Alice and Dr Mark at The Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic.
She endeavours to offer an honest clinically trained opinion and to attain the most pleasing outcomes considering treatment value always. By combining her experience in Clinical Dermatology and her vast experience of all types of cosmetic treatments, she is an expert in skin assessments and is able to give and provide a complete aesthetic solution for her client’s needs.
Louise joins Alice, Oana and Mark in sharing a particular expertise in non-surgical rejuvenation of the face, hands and the décolletage. Louise attended the clinic as a patient and found herself and interesting opportunity to continue her career in aesthetics. Her working relationship with Canterbury Skin and Laser Clinic is now flourishing.
Nurse Louise was born in 1987. She was born and grew up in the South West of England in Bristol, is well travelled with family eventually settling in Kent. She has one daughter, Esme, who she enjoys inspiring with her hard working approach & her dedication to being a great Mother. She enjoys keeping fit & is a keen yoga lover. She loves to travel & be inspired by different cultures and scenery around the world, loves to socialise and meet new people.
